I like to back-up all the save files of games that I play locally since I regularly move between different machines and have experienced complete data loss which is always a shame if you have to replay through all the games you previous...

The keys that are on each skill:
Ice, Fire Bomb, Poison and Teleport
do not update according to the key binds that you give them in the settings. They never change from EQWR.
