I haven't played enough MP to be completly sure about this. But i think, the only valid strategy in MP is to kill as fast as possible to win the game. Who kills first is able to punish the opponent and has a good chance to kill first again (and punish again,...).
It might be a good idea to change this mechanic a bit. As i allready said, i am not completly sure about that, but here is my idea:
The moment you kill all creeps of a wave, the next wave will start for both players. The punishment does not depend on "who kills first". Punishment will cost Orbs! You have to decide if you want to level you heroes, or if you want to punish your opponent for the orbs that you collect. That way, there are more valid strategies to beat your opponent and the matches might be more exciting till the end because some strategies might be very strong in the beginning but weak in the end, the other way round and everything in between.
Thats just an idea. What do you all think about that?
