The Wasteland - Final Act (2 star), weird freezing bug

So I'm trying to do The Wasteland - Final Act on the 2 star difficulty. Randomly when the boss goes from solid to ghost form everything will freeze up. Animations will still loop, but nothing will move (creeps or heroes) and no attacks will go off. I can't seem to do anything to get things moving again and have to restart. I can't manage to get the boss killed before a freeze happens.
