Spell loose significantly in power in the duration of the game. The freeze is outclassed by highlevel freeze on Barrows, the explosion does not enough damage, poison doesn't really counteract really highlevel regeneration, and the only spell that has any utility is the scare.
One fix I would like, would be a bigger radius for the spells. The area they work in seems tiny.

Yeah, that's true -- a lot of the issue also comes with the available amount at the moment. We are working on a system that allows you to have more spells available.
